The Girasole is a very nice, clean hotel with a splendid swimming pool. The setting amongst the lemon and orange trees was lovely. This family-run hotel made us feel very welcome and all of the staff were always friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our two weeks at the Girasole and would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone.<\/p>\n

This hotel is everything its website says. The family are lovely, kind, welcoming and hospitable. We enjoyed and appreciated the beautiful garden, the pool, and the stunning view: few hotels are set in such an oasis of green. Our room was very pleasant and comfortable. As for breakfast, served in a lovely room with a view of the garden, a wide range of delicious food is offered, and replenished by the very good staff. Fortunately we have left ourselves lots of things to see and do in and around Sorrento, and are already planning our next visit – we arrived home very late last night! Thank you everyone, and we’ll see you again.<\/p>\n

We stayed at Hotel Girasole for four nights (16th-20th April 2007) after staying in Naples for three. Was a brilliant hotel, much better than we were expecting. What a wonderful place. The entire staff is so very friendly and accommodating that we felt like we were visiting with family. The grounds are kept in immaculate condition and the scenery is beautiful. Breathe in the fragrances as you stroll around the grounds through the abundant foliage and lemon trees. We have just returned from 10 days with you and thank you very much for making our stay in Sorrento all verything we hoped it would be. Our room (33) and view across the Bay of Naples to Mt Vesuvius was perfect and the pool and surrounding gardens and lemon groves were the best. Your hotel is ideal for exploring the area with the local train station to Pompeii and beyond just a few minutes walk away. I LOVED STAYING HERE SWIMMNG POOL WAS GREAT DIDN’T GO A DAY WITHOUT IT! BREAKFAST EVERY MORNING, ROOM SERVICE WAS GREAT BEDS WERE MADE EVERY MORNING! Thank you to everyone in the hotel who made our stay so enjoyable. Booking hotels from information on the Internet can be risky but Hotel Girasole exceeded our expectations and the friendliness\/helpfulness of the owners\/staff really made us feel at home. Our room looking over the Bay of Naples was excellent and the pool surrounded by flowers and lemon trees will be sorely missed! It may however be quieter now our boys aren’t there!<\/p>\n

The Hotel was superb and lived up to our expectations, right down to the beautiful view from our balcony of Vesuvius over the Bay of Naples and the lemon and Orange groves in the foreground of the gardens below us, I have never seen such big Grapefruits !! I fully recommend anyone thinking of staying here not to hesitate with your booking, you will not regret it. I will certainly be coming back here next year and intend to spend a few more days in this Paradise. And you can avoid the crowds by going for restaurants that at this end of town are out of the main tourist areas but still good and modestly priced – try the Poeta on the Corso (unprepossessing location but v comfortable inside) or the Crawford on via Marion Crawford.<\/p>\n

Just back from 2 weeks in Sorrento 5th-19th July and would definately recommend the Hotel Girasole. Suitable for both couples and families. Very friendly and efficient staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Clean rooms, good breakfasts, nice pool and lovely lunches from the poolside bar (especially the pasta salad). A 15 minute stroll to the Piazza Tasso and although the first 5 mins of road is narrow the traffic expects you to be there and is accomodating.A very releaxing enviroment. We have just returned from a week’s holiday in Sorrento, staying at the Girasole. We had a brillinat time, all the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them. A very good 3 star hotel, with rooms spotlessly cleaned every day. Excellent views of mount Vesuvious and the Bay of Naples. Quiet pool area so plenty of available seats and a little bar with snacks available. We tried the Davids No. 1 which was lovely. Staff all very polite and friendly and overall stay very good. We got room 38 which was at the rear of the hotel but would not stay at the front as there is a busy road running right past the hotel which can be quite noisy especially form the scooters which seem to get everywhere.We found a little quiet path immediately outside the hotel which avoids some of the narrow footpaths alongside the busy road.<\/p>\n

11-18th Oct 2008. Had an excellent week. Staff were helpful and room spotlessly clean. We had wonderful views of Vesuvius and overlooked the garden and pool. Rooms at front of hotel are on a busy road. Good buffet breakfast with fruit, cereals, breads, cheese, meat and pastries. Large lounge area and quiet garden. Easy 15 min walk to station for trains to Pompeii, Ercolano, Naples etc and Sita bus stops to Positano, Amalfi etc (all much cheaper than organised tours). The local bus stops outside with tickets available from reception. Sorrento is an ideal centre for sightseeing and walking tours on the peninsular.<\/p>\n

We stayed at the hotel in April 2009. It was a great holiday. Rita, Monica and the owners and staff could not have done more to help make our stay a success. They were full of information and even photocopied timetables for trains and buses. The rooms were excellent. We stayed in a quad room, our friends in a triple room. Early booking led to a good discount and the hotel provides outstanding value for money. A short walk from the centre of Sorrento, no more than 10 minutes, ensured a peaceful evening when arrivinjg back from some great places to eat in town. The hotel’s own restaurant provided really good food and wine at excellent prices. We would definitely stay there again.<\/p>\n

My friend and I thought the hotel was lovely, the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or done more for us, copying train and bus timetables and advising us of the best way to do things. Our room didn’t look like the photo’s on the website, it was a bit on the small side but was immaculate, would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room though. Would definitely go there again and would recommend to anyone, although ask for a room overlooking the bay, its the quieter side!!<\/p>\n

Dear Valentina I would like to say, on behalf of my wife and 2 young children, thank you very much for a wonderful holiday at your lovely hotel. We stayed last week (from the 13th to the 20th) in room 35. We had a wonderful time and our children loved your swimming pool and would have spent hours in it! The hotel is friendly and relaxed as are all the staff. We all enjoyed the Sunday party, but as we had been to Pompeii and Vesuvio all day, we could stay up and dance all night! We perhaps would have liked to see some more local food at that evening, but we appreciate that catering for large numbers is somewhat difficult. The breakfast selection was good and it was some of the cakes were delicious, especially the apple cake. We found the prices for food and drinks at the bar and poolside bar very reasonable compared to some of the high prices paid in Sorrento town, and we liked the home made lemon juice – even though we only tried it towards the end of the holiday. Our children loved having an ice cream in the afternoon and you always had a plentiful selection. We didn’t get to try any coked food at lunch, even though very tempted, as we need to save ourselves for our evening meals and didn’t want to put on lots of weight, eating two large meals a day, but the capresse was excellent.<\/p>\n

A lovely, great value family hotel ideal for exploring Sorrento and Amalfi coast. The rooms are basic but clean and little touches like Wi-Fi access (and a laptop to borrow!) makes all the difference. A special thank you to the staff who are all kind and focused on helping you make the most out of your holiday with them; help with making dinner reservations and car hire make all the difference. Our family of 4 (2 adults\/2 teenagers) stayed at Hotel Girasole for 6 nights and enjoyed our stay there. We have recently returned from Sorrento having stayed at the Girasole. We found the staff to be warm and welcoming and helpful at all times. Our room was comfortable with amazing views. We have just returned home after 7 nights at the Girasole. All the staff made us very welcome and couldn’t do enough to help. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast in the beautiful garden sets you up for the day. The pool was ideal for a relaxing cooling swim after a day touring and sightseeing.
