I would like to say, on behalf of my wife and 2 young children, thank you very much for a wonderful holiday at your lovely hotel. We stayed last week (from the 13th to the 20th) in room 35.
We had a wonderful time and our children loved your swimming pool and would have spent hours in it! The hotel is friendly and relaxed as are all the staff. We all enjoyed the Sunday party, but as we had been to Pompeii and Vesuvio all day, we could stay up and dance all night! We perhaps would have liked to see some more local food at that evening, but we appreciate that catering for large numbers is somewhat difficult.
The breakfast selection was good and it was some of the cakes were delicious, especially the apple cake. We found the prices for food and drinks at the bar and poolside bar very reasonable compared to some of the high prices paid in Sorrento town, and we liked the home made lemon juice - even though we only tried it towards the end of the holiday. Our children loved having an ice cream in the afternoon and you always had a plentiful selection. We didn't get to try any coked food at lunch, even though very tempted, as we need to save ourselves for our evening meals and didn't want to put on lots of weight, eating two large meals a day, but the capresse was excellent.
We had a wonderful stay at your hotel from 3-6 Aug. Our room was the one featured on your site with the most amazing views. We could not have asked for a better welcome with friendly staff with lots of tips and advice for our stay. We will definately be booking another stay - it was everything we hoped for and more!!! Hi all! Wow what a experience Sorrento and the area around was. All the staff at the hotel really cheer up my opportunity regarding to what Italy is. Kindness, friendly approach and the time you gave me for a short chat whenever. My special thanks to Mr David who teached me one of his special dishes poolside and picked the lemon leaves to me so I could or at least try to make the dish at home...thank you all for a great stay in Girasole. Thank you for making our recent stay at the Hotel Girasole so very enjoyable. As you know Anna Maria is Italian but here in England we do not celebrate name days. The card and beautiful roses given to Anna Maria made that day extra special. Thank you.
This was our third stay at your hotel and you have never failed to make us feel very welcome and very much at home. We will definitely be visiting again and I would not hesitate in recommending Hotel Girasole to anybody wishing to stay in the Sorrento area.
