We had a most enjoyable week’s stay here in August. The owners and staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Our room at the back of the hotel on the third floor had a superb view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. The terrace and garden were just beautiful and a marvellous location in which to eat breakfast.
St Agnello, restaurants and train station are just a short walk away from the hotel. Sorrento, in the other direction, is a bit further, but a very pleasant walk if you avoid the busy Corsa Italia by simply turning right out out of the hotel and right again to reach the Via Bernardino Rota, which runs parallel to the CI but is much quieter. Needless to say, Sorrento and its surroundings are wonderful. Thank you,Hotel Girasole, for a wonderful holiday.

We have stayed with a group twice now at Girasole and I cannot say enough about the extremely warm welcome that they have given us. When we returned the second time it was like visiting our own family the were so pleased to see us. The were very helpful in providing us with local information and helping us make our stay in the area so enjoyable. We travel in groups of 20 to 30 and the accomodation is clean and pleasant and I enjoyed waking up to a view of Mt Vesuvius each morning. The breakfast, dinner and convenient bar was very good and catered to any dietary requirements we had. I look forward to returning next year to another warm welcome.

wonderful hotel, warm friendly staff, clean spacious rooms, good selection of fresh food for breakfast. Fresh flowers were everywhere in the hotel giving off a lovely smell. It was about 10 minutes walk to the station and 15 to the main square, all flat. Would definitely go back to Sorrento and this hotel in particular, would recommend to anyone. Worth paying for a garden view however as road quite busy.

we have stayed here 2 easters running we are staying again this coming easter 2012 to celebrate 25th wedding anniversary , its like returning to friends. this hotel is fantastic the staff wonderful we cant praise enough .we are welll looked after and feel valued customers but i would actually say we feel valued as if we were returning friends.

We have just returned home after 7 nights at the Girasole. All the staff made us very welcome and couldn’t do enough to help. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast in the beautiful garden sets you up for the day. The pool was ideal for a relaxing cooling swim after a day touring and sightseeing. The view from our balcony across the bay was stunning. Once again, on behalf of Ian, Michelle, Rebecca and Samantha, thank you so much.

We have recently returned from Sorrento having stayed at the Girasole. We found the staff to be warm and welcoming and helpful at all times. Our room was comfortable with amazing views. Plentiful breakfast and a relaxing pool area after a day exploring Sorrento. Girasole is a perfect base, so much so that we have already booked for 2012

We are very deeply disappointed that we cannot have a holiday this time, we will miss Sorrento, Amalfi and especially Hotel Girasole and its wonderful warmly welcoming staff very much. Hopefully we will be able to come in the autumn or early next year. Girasole is a family-run hotel which offers a comfortable and restful atmosphere with truly excellent staff and affords superb views from its balconies. It has a breakfast bar / restaurant, pool and poolside snacks facilities. It is ideally set halfway between Sorrento and Sant Agnello where there are many restaurants, walks and views of the Bay of Naples. Excellent pack lunches are available on request. There are frequent train services toward Naples, including Pompei and Herculaneum, also good bus services – both local (the orange or red/white EAV, formerly Circumvesuviana) and further afield (the blue SITA coaches) to places like Sant Agata, Massa, Positano, Grotta Smeralda (Emerald Grotto), Amalfi and onward from there to Ravello, Minori, Maiori and Salerno. The Monti Lattari offer stunning views and of course theres the famous Amalfi Drive. Back in Girasole, Rita offers a certain number of evening meals which are of a very high standard and you can sample local cuisine at its best. The hotel is ideal for a magnificent holiday, one which you will want to repeat again and again. Our family of 4 (2 adults/2 teenagers) stayed at Hotel Girasole for 6 nights and enjoyed our stay there. Rita and her brothers were the perfect hosts and we definitely recommend this Hotel to everyone. It was lovely to have a pool to sit by, swim, read and relax after a long day of touring and shopping!
