We stayed at the hotel in April 2009. It was a great holiday. Rita, Monica and the owners and staff could not have done more to help make our stay a success. They were full of information and even photocopied timetables for trains and buses. The rooms were excellent. We stayed in a quad room, our friends in a triple room. Early booking led to a good discount and the hotel provides outstanding value for money. A short walk from the centre of Sorrento, no more than 10 minutes, ensured a peaceful evening when arrivinjg back from some great places to eat in town. The hotel’s own restaurant provided really good food and wine at excellent prices. We would definitely stay there again.

Dear Rita, [at the reception] Just to say a big thank you to each and everyone at Girasole. You were all so kind and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and missed you all. It was like leaving a family behind. Please say a big thanks to your brother who kindly fixed the TV. and always had a nice smile. Sorry we didn’t see your neice before we left, who was always helpful. One of the important person was the chef who, we are sorry we didn’t speak to. We loved her cooking very, very much. ‘BONISIMO’ Also please say ‘thank you’ to your other brother for being so kind as to show us around the orchard. I am very busy doing all my planting now. All my seedlings are ready here at home, to be planted out. I spend alot of time in my ‘allotment’ garden since we got back.. We will never forget your kind and best waiters. They were great. We are definitely planning another trip, possibly next year. Ofcourse we are very sad about the news of the earthquake and the people of A’quilla. Thank you once again. Recently stayed with Mullion School. Really good food, nice place and friendly staff. Stayed in room 39 can you please check fixings on bunk beds – did not feel too safe on the bottom bunk. Would recommend your hotel to anyone to stay in and may be back one day with my Mum and Dad.

11-18th Oct 2008. Had an excellent week. Staff were helpful and room spotlessly clean. We had wonderful views of Vesuvius and overlooked the garden and pool. Rooms at front of hotel are on a busy road. Good buffet breakfast with fruit, cereals, breads, cheese, meat and pastries. Large lounge area and quiet garden. Easy 15 min walk to station for trains to Pompeii, Ercolano, Naples etc and Sita bus stops to Positano, Amalfi etc (all much cheaper than organised tours). The local bus stops outside with tickets available from reception. Sorrento is an ideal centre for sightseeing and walking tours on the peninsular.

Just returned home from a week at the Giralole Hotel and what a fantastic holiday we had. The staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. We especially enjoyed the Garden Party on the 10th August and you made Mark’s Birthday very special and one to remember.
